Those lousy ISP's!

Well I started downloading concerts and such with my torrent and found that my ISP cares what I do with bandwidth they are selling me.

After my Favorite band changes their outlook on trading concert materials, that is we can trade freely any concerts taped or recorded by fans, so long as no sound board recordings are traded or shared.

So Here I am with a yahoo groop with 1000+ members trading HW concerts and after a week of constant uploads and downloads the ISP without contacting me, turns off my account!

Apparently they were concerned that the excessive up bandwidth meant I was either spamming the world or illegal trading via P2P. I mean it was only a 20 gigabite upload over a few days.

Of course there was all the normal up down usage to add into that.

Rest assured the World is not vastly more protected with concerned ISP's cutting off people to keep the spam away.

They did restore the account after a phone call to explain what was going on. They were, as you can tell, completely unapologetic!

These days, after the big rush of trading things are much slower and I can get on with the not quite legal trading of those impossible to find movies you can't rent or buy.

Weird thing is if I can't find them as rentals, and I can't buy them at Amazon/Ebay. Why are they being tracked on the grey market.
