Palin: Like a Rock! (UNCLASSIFIED)

In what has come to pass the meteoric rise in popularity amongst the
conservative base, has stopped. Sarah Palins rating have dropped like a rock
and conservatives are asking, not so subtly either, for her to withdraw her
acceptance as the VP.

Major Campaign push by McCain in Michigan has not gone unnoticed. Over the
last few weeks, the number of road signs have increased along my drive to
work from 2 to nearly ten! 400% increase, Yea!

Unfortunately there is still a good 2:1 ratio, or better, of Obama:McCain
signage.

So if the republican base isn't supporting the campaign to elect John McCain,
who is?

Freedom

If you can't tell Its Politics as Normal and I'll keep plugging away
until I vote.

Currently the cause of Freedom no longer exists in the Republican
party. Exercise your freedom to protest the war in Iraq and your
branded as unpatriotic.
Exercise your support for Homosexual's and your likely to actually be
threatened with bodily harm. Exercise your right to privacy (think
of the telephone eves dropping by the current Federal Govt.) and your
thrown out of court and labeled as someone that *has* something to hide.

Freedom is only freedom when you can pursue your values without being
pushed into what other think you should value.

I Feel the Republican party has lost its moral compass, actually I
think the smashed in and toss the pieces into the ocean, but I digress.

Its ironic that they are all for Democracy and freedom on countries
over seas, but not so hot to give the Good Old people of the U.S. of
A. the same. Until such a time when I can be promised Freedom, I
think I'll vote Libertarian.

McCain at the Faire

Spent several hours at the local faire and made this interesting
observation to go along with my bridge walk.

There was a McCain campaign booth handing out buttons and other items
at the faire grounds.

During the 3 1/2 hours walking around and watching people while my
son rode all the ride he could stomach, I saw a grand total of Zero
Obama displays and a grand total of *ONE* McCain button. I mean they
were handing these out at the fair! One person actually hand the
motivation to put on a button. Its sure not looking good for the
Republicans in Michigan.

Just goes to prove that having Palin on the ticket has increased
McCain popularity by an infinite amount seeing that during the bridge
walk his campaign had no presence at all.

Go Palin!

Obama Wins Michigan in a Land slide!

Ok, well maybe not, but I had the opportunity to stand on Mackinaw
bridge all day on the 1st of September and I noticed that after the
sun came up I started seeing people with Obama T-shirts, buttons and
Hats. Over the course of the next few hours several dozen Obama
supporters trooped past.

On the flip side, the McCain camp had the support of a grand total of
ZERO supporters on the bridge. Of course I may have missed one or
two in the crowd, but this sure doesn't look good for McCain.
